Telemega battery

Hi Forum,

I am getting set up for future use of my Altusmetrum Telemega. What size mAh lipo battery are you folks using? This would fire two deployment charges then be used for tracking. I suspect many will say, the longer it will run the altimeter the better. Is there a point where enough is enough?

I fly with these altimeters all the time. I typically use 400mah lipos in smaller airframes and 900s in larger projects. If I am flying higher and recovery might take longer I go with 900s.

I use 1100mAh batteries in my 6" ARLISS airframes that employ 6 charges per flight plus GPS tracking duties. In a normal event, each airframe will fly 6-8 times and the larger battery hasn't needed recharging.
