Stickers vs. decals

Does anyone know why Estes provided stickers instead of decals for the Der Big Red Max rocket? They are incomplete at that, and don’t include some designs that are on the other Red Max rockets. Also, the box picture shows the cross on the fin is tilted instead perpendicular to the ground. What gives???

[water slide] Decals aren't easy to apply (as some/ most will say) And they are soo 1970's..

I believe that it is "ease of use / apllication" for today's mind-set.
