What's a good source for decent load cells? I can make my own, but I'm incredably lazy at the moment.
Someone asked how to calibrate horizontal load cells. Answer - a bell crank. A bell crank is a "device" used to redirect force. In this case it is redirecting through 90 degrees. A vertical load applied to one arm of the bell crank translates to an equal force in the other arm (assuming equal-length arms - they can also reduce/amplify force).
