I have recently completed a Semroc Saturn 1B kit and opted for the single D sized engine configuration because I have never had good luck with the cluster option. I have been told that now that the D-12 engine is now under powered for this model. I do have Aerotec 24/40 reloadable. I am wondering if a E-11 or E-18 is a better choice. Opinions please.

I've flown mine several times on the D12-3 and it's not so bad, but definitely low and slow. The AT E20-4 works well, so I expect an E18 would work too.

I like the 4 C version, flights are spectacular. Lots of smoke and the 4 flames look like the scale center motors.
Next one will be 8.

Started with an Aerotech E15 composite (337ft), then an E20 (maybe 350ft), then an F20 (est. 400ft) and finally a 29mm G25 (est. 500ft). All worked well but the 4.5 second slow burn with the G25 was the winner.
