At the recent ROCK business meeting the officers and membership
in attendance overwhelmingly voted to go to a year-round launch
schedule.
This means we will have a launch on July 7th, pending weather and
drought index!
Traditionally, ROCK has only flown a ten month schedule, taking
the summer months off for the business meeting and a break. As
the club has grown, there has been increasing requests to launch
during the off months. We've addressed those desires with this
change.
In addition, the membership business meeting will also change to
a non-launch date in January. This will better align with the NAR
Section renewal period and free up the June date for launching.
Official minutes from the business meeting are posted on
the ROCK website, but I wanted to get the news about the July
launch out quickly. Mark your calendars!
