Just got my kit to make igniters last night. It does have instructions, but do you guys have any well earned do and don'ts on making them? Thanks.
Has anyone tried the Frankum Performance launch pads?Have fun! If you get sick of doing it, consider these: https://www.frankumperformance.com/starters-and-initiators
Never failed me.
A mixture can have different compositions. "Pure maple syrup" is actually a (chemical) misnomer, because it's a mixture of sugar (several different ones) water, and a bunch of flavorings. Some brands have more sugars than others do. In fact maple syrup is made by changing the composition of sap---removing water by boiling the sap and increasing the proportion of sugars and flavorings. How to explain the difference between mixtures and compounds?
To add a bit of flavor to this discussion...A compound always has the same composition. Pure table salt (sodium chloride) is a compound that always contains 22.99 g of sodium and 35.45 g chlorine for every 58.44 g salt, no matter where it comes from (the numbers are from the periodic table). Sea salt, kosher salt, etc. are technically mixtures, though they always have very high concentrations of pure sodium chloride.

<prfesser gritting teeth, blood pressure rising significantly>I'm just going to mix the compound and put it on the end of a wire
Thanks. Seems interesting. How to explain the difference between mixtures and compounds? I found only this review differencebtwn.com/difference-between-mixtures-vs-compounds
