Back in the day I had an RC plane transmitter that was an effective interferer for television if sufficiently far from the TV station transmitter. It made static on the screen and 6 lines across the screen. In college, if we saw the blue glow from a neighboring apartment, we would position so as to see into their living room, turn on the transmitter. When they would get up and play with the rabbit ears, we would move the control sticks around moving the lines up and down on their TV screen. Then turn the transmitter off. When they sat back down, turn the transmitter on again. My family never had a “clicker” remote. Our first was a 9v powered infrared remote for cable boxes. The best thing about those was that they worked on anyone’s tv. We’d often ride around the neighborhood on our bikes changing people’s channels through front windows.
Easily entertained.
