Hi ! Does anyone know the ideal way to attach the metal tip to fiberglass nose cones? Mine came with an eyebolt, 2x metal washers, 1 fiberglass washer and the metal tip. Am I supposed to epoxy anything? what order of washers is best? I understand it may not be that critical, but I would like some ideas. Thank you in advance.

Are you ever planning to put anything else in the nose?

Also think about how you would attach your recovery harness if that eyebolt is permanently attached that far into the nose.

On a smaller nose cone like this I wouldn't glue the tip.
What if you ever need to replace the recovery harness?
The way I do it is this;
- First glue in the fiberglass bulkhead (washer).
- Adjust the nut on the eyebolt so it will tighten against the bulkhead when the tip is screwed on.
- Use red Loctite on the tip and nut.
- I made a tool out of a shelf bracket for holding the eyebolt. (see pic)

What I did on mine was add a second nut essentially making a Jam not to make a stopping point for the tip to thread against then used loctite. Then modified a PVC pipe into a wrench to tighten the tip.
