I started another upgrade clone.
The Estes 0882 Ninja.
Upgrade is I used a BT-50 Air Frame 10.25" (left over from an 18" tube) and added 1/2 oz of nose weight.
Put in a engine block, altered the fins slightly to be larger and farther out from the air frame.
Body tube is sanded down, coated with TiteBond III and sanded down.
Fins are cut, Papered with mounting tabs, and mounted them last night.
Next comes the TiteBond coats on the fins and the fillets.
Rocket will be painted all Black, and "NINJA-D" vinyl decal in Red.
I'll add some pics as soon as I get to town and pic up some batteries for the camera.
RocSim puts it at 2290 feet on a D12-7.
Should be an eye strain to recover on a 12" plastic Estes Parachute, but an extremely fun flier!
