does Mac performance phoenolic need to be washed prior to glueing like fiberglass does? I’m about to start my new kit tonight, and got a Mac nosecone that comes with a phoenolic coupler to go with it.

I never have on my mac kits, that being said they can take the water just fine so wouldn't think it would hurt to wash - dry them

I never have. Just sand and wipe clean with isopropyl alcohol or acetone before you bond.

1) Sand it - inside of nose cone and external on the coupler
2) Clean it - Isopropyl and let it dry (about 60 secs)
3) Epoxy it - Epoxy the inside of the nose and insert
