I have always wanted a Warlock
What is the length on the motor tubing? (54mm version)
The 54mm Monster Motors Case I have is 15" in length, I believe is a 4 grain case with inserts to allow
use of fewer grains...
I'm hoping to be able to use that case in my build for a Level 2 Cert attempt next Spring.

JP Morgan
Thanks!!! That's good to know! It's been a while since I've had my head wrapped around rocketry so I wasn't for certain about the casing being longer than the motor tubing thing.Hey! Just saw your IM but good to mention here too, the motor tube on mine was 14", but no harm in having a casing extend past that!

I've got a J & a K motor but they're probably too old now... I guess I'll burn each grain one at a time down on the beach one night.
I'm fixing to place my Order for the LOC Precision Warlock!
I'll glass it like you did for longevity. And those that are familiar with my work will know that a Tail-Cone is In Order!
I'll have to go look at the K motor, 4 grain, but I believe the J460T motor, 2 grain was manufactured in 1996.How old do you consider too old? Plenty of rocket motors, properly stored, last quite some time. Just this year alone I've loaded/launched 38s and 54s from CTI and AT that were in the 6 year old range, no issues and lit first try.

10-4!I’m sure you already know this but be sure to sim the Warlock with the tail cone. Base drag is part of what makes rockets like the Warlock stable. Be sure to post pictures - it should look good with a tail!

ADDED: The K550W-L is around 2015, both motors are made by AT.
Could you Run a Simulation using the AT K550W-L? It's a 54/1706...
I had Open Rocket on a PC at my other home but now all I have is my cell phone in the window
because I live in a metal building and currently using a Chromebook.
I downloaded Open Rocket but afterwards it showed that the Chromebook needs a different
something to open the File...
Sometimes I ask myself why do I pursue a Hobby that's a little difficult!!! And the Rules a little Anal.
Cool paint job! I built a Warlock a few years ago - fiber glassed the body tube and did tip-to-tip on the fins. I called mine "Zombie Apocalypse".
It has flown a bunch of times, biggest motor so far is a J350. Without dual deploy, you don't want to use much bigger down here in Florida with our high trees......
Stellar video!
I love the warlock, and this is a great looking one . . . hope to get one myself some day . . .
Was that just wood glue on the fillets? With the way you built the fin can outside the rocket, the fillets are probably just cosmetic, but wanted to ask.
