Here's a video I've had around for a while... one of my 4-H kids designed and built a rocket using heavy-duty BT-70 tube and a 3x24 engine mount. The video is the first and only launch, on 3x E9-6 engines. It was really cool. Many people said it wouldn't survive flying, or wouldn't fly at all, but the simulation said it would and it did. Drifted 2000' back into town, though... we really didn't know how to size the parachute, and it appears that 52" wide is a bit too big.

A 52" chute? Holy moly! What did that thing weigh?

Actually, I don't know. I'd have to find the simulation file to even get an estimate. It really wasn't all that heavy, considering the size.

Justin made the chute out of a 52" wide mylar emergency blanket, so 52" was as big as it could be. I had suffered a lot of damage on my similar-diameter Ultimatum rocket on a 36" chute, and he didn't want his rocket damaged.

It did work, given that requirement.

Next here, Jim Livingston flew his AAMRAM on a 76mm L motor made from the latest refinement of a

propellant called Jim Scarpine Tribute Blue #4. This version used a 50:50 mix of AP200 and AP400 which

produced a burn rate that was a lot less hairy than the all-AP200 version. It reached an altitude of about a mile.

Here are two of my better ones - my LOC Big Nuke 3E going up on a K550W, and my LOC Doorknob going up on an Aerotech 54/852 J460T. The camera didn't catch the brightness of that Blue Thunder flame, in person it was really vivid.

Most of the pictures in this gallery are fairly large rockets so lets go to the other extreme.

Micro Maxx Raw Fusion

5 1/4" L x 3/8" OD
Launch weight of 6 grams

They launch really fast off the pad so it's hard to get a good picture.

I've got a few more: all of these were from last October but I only received them yesterday.

All of these photos were taken by Tom Raithby.

Greg's (rms on the forum) rocket lifting off on a CTI 75mm M3700 White Thunder; for a spectacular flight to 16,391'.

A nice picture of a rocket lifting off to around 8000' on a K motor . (It was the very last flight of the day.)

Definitely not the most interesting shot, but I figured I would post it here as it was my first launch of 2013.

My Estes Prospector going up on a B6-4 last saturday, for a beautiful flawless flight.

Brought along my 6 year old neighbor to watch. It was his first time seeing a model rocket launch. Hopefully I've got him hooked and he'll pursue the hobby.:)

This is my Multiple FunJet Ultra RCBG's maiden flight on a AT 24/40 E18 reload.

Very nice. I love that motor, and it looks fabulous in the gladiator!

6" PVC pipe tuber on L1390G. TCC Dairy Aire 2013. No filters or photoshop--just a weird combination of sunset and green motor.
