Leesburg, VA Launches

All -- I will be visiting my son back in Leesburg, Virginia at the end of January / beginning of February, and his young daughter really wants to see a model rocket launch. Anyone familiar with who is launching the weekend of February 2nd through the 4th? HELP! JP.

The NARHAMS https://www.nasa.gov/goddard/visitor-center/events-and-programs/ launch is Sunday Feb 4 at Goddard Space Flight Center visitor center. Great venue for small/low launches.

Hi,
Of the 3 major rocketry clubs closest to Leesburg, only MDRA is having a launch that weekend at their Higgs Farm location. Unfortunately, from Leesburg this is a 2+ hour drive each way, so it needs to be planned as an all-day outing.
Otherwise, I suggest buying a starter set from the local Hobby Lobby and launching at Ida Lee Park, the only park in Loudoun County where rocketry and RC flying is permitted.

The kids -- now living in Leesburg -- grew up in Greenbelt right next to GSFC, so GSFC is going to be the place to be!
