What would be a good launch lug size for a rocket that will weigh around 60oz loaded?

Rail buttons. :D

My guess would be 1/2" for something that size if you don't want to go buttons.

Thanks for the quick answer. I've never used rails before. How are they sized and where are good places to get buttons?

What Kerm said...small rail buttons will work great, are cheap and look good.

If you go for a launch lug...1/4" for 2" dia models, 3/8" for 3" dia models and 1/2" lugs for 4" models...kind of a rule of thumb for me.

OK OK, you talked me into it. I just ordered some from railbuttons.com:cool:

Who is good vendor for launch lugs in bulk. I'm thinkin 1/4" and lower. I need a few feet. (Like 50')!!!!

did you see the post I put in 'scratch built' about 1/4 inch lugs?
fwiw, you can probably get good quality aluminum tubes near that size for free
