Cool stuff. Seems like an opportune moment to share a photo of the Black Brant III models whipped up over the past couple of months. These depict one of the BBIII rounds fired from East Quoddy, Nova Scotia in March, 1970.IMG_3408.JPG
Airframes are hand-laid 30mm fiberglass tubes. Nose cones are thermoformed polycarbonate plastic courtesy of Matt Steele, and detail parts are via the atelier of Dr. Bob Kreutz. Fins are basswood. Mass is 30 grams, less recovery system, altimeter, and motor.

The model on the left has been selected as the primary, and will be flown in the Scale Altitude competition at the World Spacemodeling Championships, which begin late next week in Poland. We'll be flying on custom C3.4-6 and -8 motors made specifically for the US Scale Altitude team by Aerotech.

Nice build !
I love the antenna detail ,
That is the same type of antenna that I did a 3d model of to fit my
6" diameter 4 fin Black Brant II. Gonna make a rubber mold to cast them.

Would love to see how you did the dual rear launch lugs
