for what a coupler costs I can just buy a tube from some one else. MY mandrel cost less than a tube from some one else.

Then he needs to find someone who has a mandrell that he needs and would be willing to sell it to him.

Alex , go to your local usps and buy a white 2 inch mailing tube . It is exactly 2.125 OD. You can buy a 24 inch length , wrap one layer of packing tape length wise , do your layup then soak the tube in your tub . The cardboard will fall out . Now you have a 24 inch length of carbon tube , and you can use your motor case as a coupler .
