Early eighties, Centuri, maybe 24 " tall, red plastic fin can, four fins, transition mid way, BT60 or 80 bottom tube... maybe...red plastic nosecone.

I want to say it was the Sizzler, but not positive.

I've looked in the Centuri catalogs that Estes had before the new website, didn't see it in there.

Any ideas?

Nope, that's not it. Hmmm... the Argus has two transitions...this one was only one IIRC.

Now I'm pretty sure it was the "Phoenix Bird" since I've seen the fin can that Jack Hydrazine is 3D printing. The Argus had the red fin can, and the Phoenix Bird's was black. I see the red fin can in my minds eye, but it has proven to be colorblind in the past . I just don't remember the mid point body separation. Though I was only like 12 years old, the early eighties are kinda fuzzy to me.
