Unbagging... I was shocked to see how much came came out of the bag.

still stumped on how to do those grid fins though....looking for a plastic grid about 1/10" square for each hole...
You know ,everytime I see these posts ,I feel like a frustrated old COW !
Does anybody know what vendors are selling/have in stock any Vostoks ?Apogee sent me an email saying they had 2 in stock and if I wanted one.Of course by the time I got back to them....POOF...all gone (less than 24 hours later)
Not a huge fan of emotioncoms but -----> :confused2:

Thanks Mike. Are they being shipped to the same vendors ? (Uncle Mike/ Apogee) or anybody else I should know about.

Commonwealth. Hope to have the international distributors going again soon too.
There are dimensioned drawings in my book, Seize the Sky: A Builder's Guide to Model Rocketry - available from ARA Press and Apogee Components.I aquired a kit, a while back from another rocketeer, looks complete except for maybe one centering ring. What would be involved in changing it to the Soyuz? Are there specs out to do this?

It almost took as much engineering getting the parts to fit in the bag than to get the thing designed.

Maybe he's acquired Time Lord technology (Dr. Who reference).Admit it, Mike. That bag contains a space-time continuum, which is the only way all the parts fit in there.
That would be the one I wrote for the May/June 2007 issue. If you can't acquire a copy of it, you can find pretty much the same article in my aforementioned book.Launch Magazine had an article about the R-7/Lunik/Vostok/Voskhod/Soyuz and this kit in particular, with conversion suggstions....I can't put my hand on the date of the article at the moment.
I bet someone here can....

Like the Tardis, the bag is a lot larger on the inside (but the technology breaks once opened and the parts are removed from the bag).
