Oh my God! What if they run out of wood glue and epoxy?!It's finally hit home. Sad to say it's disrupting my ability to get cheap crap that I probably didn't need in the first place fast...

Here in Fort Wayne a Kroger store was busy this afternoon, but not unbearable. I found everything I wanted easily, including eggs, bread, and milk. Yeast was hard to find, but only because it was on the top shelf above the Jello and not near the flour and sugar where I thought it should have been. I didn't look for TP, we have enough.
We did change our plans for the weekend. My 4 year old was asking to go see a Disney movie. We opted for a 2 mile bike ride/hike through the woods instead. That's a win, and we probably would have been outside anyway since the Sun was out this afternoon.
Good choice!
I was gonna go to the AMOREA launch but had on-call stuff come up. Glad you enjoyed it and I plan on being at all the rest of the launches.Instead of going to the Peking Acrobats show at our arts theater, which was cancelled, I attended our local rocket launch. It's a small affair (<10 people today including a couple kids), and we lofted rockets for an hour and half while observing non-contact social distancing rules. Chance of cross infection nearly zero. But we got fresh air, sunlight, and inaugurated a season that proves to offer fewer soccer games intruding onto the grass for a while.
To be honest, social distancing isn't a difficult concept for me. I enjoy going to concerts and amusement parks, but aside from that I would prefer not to be in large crowds. I'm just as content getting carry out at a restaurant as I am dining in and I already avoid the mall and stores during crowded times as much as possible.

I am switching from TP to adult diapers if they truly are backlogged to 22 April.
Being rocketeers, if you're really desperate, you have the (admittedly expensive) option of using Estes WP as TP.
Me, I'd been spraying TP with flame retardant to convert it into WP, and may now need to wash the stuff to convert it back. Anyone looking at my laundry is going to get almost completely the wrong idea.
While I'm washing the WP/TP, I'm going to be laughing myself silly at the thought of those of you who have been using "dog barf" insulation as wadding. Good luck putting that to alternative use.
In a couple of weeks, Estes employees are going to get the same idea. WP will be as hard to buy as TP. If you intend to launch a rocket, you'll need to find alternative wadding, such as lettuce leaves.
Hmm...
... no. Nice try, but it didn't work. Not absorbent enough. Oh well, the leaves can still be used as WP.
Isn't it going to shred?Me, I'd been spraying TP with flame retardant to convert it into WP, and may now need to wash the stuff to convert it back. Anyone looking at my laundry is going to get almost completely the wrong idea.
It's a mad, mad, mad, mad thread.....
I never seen one of those before? I wonder how it works.Madrid. Monday morning. Just got thru security. No line. Nice.
All the stores are closed. the only thing open is a Starbucks self serve machine. Looks like a good place to dump a bunch of 10,20 euro coins that would just otherwise go into a jar at home.

The solution to the TP situation is a Bidet, well as long as there's a water supply
+ a hair dryer?!?
Or how do you, bidet-aficionados, dry yourselves?
Just curious.
I do have a garden hose hooked up, green grass on the lawn, a couple of fluffy dogs, and bored school-deprived kids that can use a challenge to keep themselves busy with new and exciting tasks.
However, I am still missing the last (drying) step in this ghetto-bidet setup...
