Hey all, the last time I had to buy some 30 gauge wire for thermalite igniters I bought at radioshack...that's long outta Canada now. Any Canadian sources you can recommend? Amazon doesn't look that great either.
Bruce, How much do you need< I have several thousand feet of Kynar wire wrap, that was used for my thermalite igniters. All for 1cent/ft plus postage. Shame this stuff is not available anymore to purchase...Thermite igniters or Thermalite Igniter Cord?
I'm on my last box...thats what I wanted the nichrome for. Garth hooked me up with that too lolShame this stuff is not available anymore to purchase...
The original Ignitors for FSI motors! Also the standard AeroTech igniter before the crapperheads. AeroTech used the Fast Thermalite (Yellow)
1. cut 1" - 1.25"
2. remove fiberglass threads carefully. (The pyrogen compound is very brittle, especially when this old.)
3. carefully remove 3 or 4 of the nichrome wires.
4. Wrap the kynar wires about 1/4" apart. Wrap them near the middle with this slow stuff. Near the end for the fast stuff (Almost impossible to find)
5. twist.
