Chuck,
If the Stratologger remains unavailable, I suggest taking a look at the Missileworks RRC3.

Cool. I’m starting work on the trailer in the morning. I picked up some materials today that I didn’t already have. Some 1 7/8 roundstock for the pivot point of the tower. Also some parts for the outriggers. I’ll send you some pictures as it comes togetherHey me too!
Binder Design is doing outstanding work on this.
I told Mike in the beginning to take his time and do it right... and he is. The thing isn't a small project that's for sure. And from Binder's updates he is putting a lot of effort into this.
We expect to see the fin can at about the same time you produce one of the most awesome launch trailers in the country... the middle of June!
Thanks Levi. I really appreciate your efforts for this rocket launch.
Chuck C.
When are you expecting that fin can. I’m anxious to see it

Levi,
Think about some removable, protective "wheel pants" to protect the tires, so Chuck doesn't have to pull them off and put them back on.
"You, sir, are a steely-eyed, missile man" !

LOL, I gotta see you weld some blankets
If approved just covering the tires with a welding blanket during launch would make things easy.
Chuck C.
Chuck,
Considering the "friction" that occurred, early on, with this project, I suggest getting all approvals in writing, just in case someone "forgets", later . . . I would also post them here, in this forum, for all to see, creating a "Public Record" !
An "ounce of prevention" . . . Helps to cure a case of the " I never said's" !
Got your back . . .

gonna need a 2 ton axle
It’s a 15k lb capacity trailer (Odom Trailers).
Chuck C.
I found this one 7000 lb. axles * 14,000 lb GVWR

Chuck
I’ve made some small progress this afternoon cutting and tacking up some of the main pieces for the “chassis” of this beast. The pivot point will be on the uprights of these parts where the diagonal run intersects.
It’s the 14k rated trailer not 15k (my mistake). Yes 7k axles.
It’s 18 ft long which is plenty. The S rocket may have to be hauled in halves unless we keep it under 22 ft.
Levi and I did discuss the diamond plate when I dropped it off.
Thanks guys!
Chuck C.
I’m not really sure what to think. The rocket will sit 18” off the trailer when upright. The heat will only be there momentarily. I’m really not certain if there will be a problem.Levi,
Incredible work, sir 1
Several posts back, I asked Chuck about the "wooden deck" in the trailer. I suggested that he think about, possibly, replacing the wood with "diamond mesh", for fire protection and easy cleanup . . .
What are your thoughts about wood currently being used on the trailer ?
Thanks,
Dave F.
