Do you know if weekend soccer is starting up yet? I want to get out on the field one more time with my students.

I see why Ken gave up. I've just been on lwysa.org as well as a couple of Crossfire soccer sites and schedule sharing is not their strong suit. That said, it doesn't look like the big events start until the second week of June.

Ken and I did encounter some after-school tryouts last Wednesday, I think it was, but once they were done, the fields were free again and at least three different tARC groups put in practice flights.

Have fun Friday, Ken. BEMRC will be flying at the Raceway on Saturday and the biggest hazard is likely to be warm (from a Seattle perspective) temperatures.

I’d like to be two places at once on Saturday….

Has anyone flown on a Saturday or Sunday in the last couple of weeks? I'm guessing no since the weather was pretty lousy.

Despite today’s crap, tomorrow is looking decent, though you can expect the grass to be damp.

Maybe @Neutronium knows a guy who knows a guy who can drive by 60 Acres and see whether the soccer teams are occupying the fields. But I’m going to assume that we can launch.

I plan to be there sometime between 11:30 and 12:30, earlier if I can (big if). If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll keep you informed.

As an incentive, for those of you who like a good CATO…I’ve put 3 (count ‘em, three) of the high risk D12-3 engines into a cluster and we’ll see what happens, perhaps, when 3 D engines CATO at once. Bwahahaha!

See you, I hope, on Sunday!

I'll be out 11-2 or so. I'll save the G250 until I see you. Tomorrow will also be first flight of Fafnir. As long as Sigurd doesn't show up with a sword, we should be all good.

I'll swing by around 10:15; if there's anything happening on our field I'll ping you.

Good Day Rocketeers! (actually, it’s a sucky day, weather wise). This weekend is Memorial Day – 4 days of forgetting why we celebrate it, and it looks like 4 days of less than wonderful weather.

Right now Monday the 27th looks the least bad. I’m going to aim for then, but, seeing as it’s Memorial day, well, let me know if you think you might make it, but if you’d rather be home grilling brats and drinking beer, hey, I understand! Hmm, maybe we can do both. Let me know if you’d like to shoot off some rockets then come to my place for brats or whatever.

I’ll be out of town for at least May 29th through June 2nd, so that weekend is shot. On June 8th I’m planning to go to the pinball event down in Tacoma Ihttps://www.nwpinballshow.com/) , so the next likely launch date is June 9th. Although if the weather is sucky enough on the 27th, maybe I’ll launch on the 28th instead.

Stay tuned!

Ken

We are thinking about it. The forecast for Monday actually looks pretty good at the moment.

I have one of those Starlight Mini "flight computers" that will need to be test flown a few times. I should also get the Citation Patriot out given the day.

We shall see....

I look forward to chatting with you and Avis about your latest trip and the competition and so on, hope to see you on Monday!

I'm making it official:

You’re all invited! After we launch at 60 Acres, gather at my house and I’ll fire up the grill. I’ll supply various traditional grilling items (burgers, brats, dogs, buns and the fixings) and you provide everything else. I’ll also have various beverages, but you’re welcome to bring your own faves. If you have any particular food requirements, please let me know, we can accommodate vegetarians, but vegans are advised to stay away, or they may end up on the grill.

RSVP required, because I need some idea of how many will be showing up.

See you Monday!

Ken

PS Once you RSVP I’ll send you my address and the secret decoder ring you’ll need to find our house. RSVP here, by PM, email, text or phone.
