Has anyone ordered from Polecat recently?

I placed an order a week ago and never received a confirmation, although my credit card has been charged. Two followup emails and still no reply. Vacation? Some other issue?

    Thinking about moving to Texas

Born and raised in CT, lived here all my life. Moving across country at my age (68) is a big decision, so I'm wondering if anyone else has done this and if you've found it difficult to adjust to your new surroundings. Wife and I are looking at the Arlington area. She is only 51. She moved to...

Anybody know where I got this rail button from?

I like these a lot because they have a little standoff built in, but I don't remember where I bought them. They came in black and white and I want MORE!

    Foreign Films on NetFlix

Bought a new TV last week and it came with a 6 month free subscription for NetFlix. I enjoy watching Chinese films, especially Wushu films (think Jet Li), but the few I've tried to watch on NetFlix all had English voiceovers instead of native language with English subtitles. This makes them...

    Minie-Magg Nose Cone Tips?

I'm most concerned with attaching the shock cord to the nose cone. That little loop doesn't look very strong and the hole at the bottom seems a little large for a bolt; it's almost 1/2" in diameter. How have you secured your shock cord to your nose cone? Second is the question of nose weight...

What happened to the Aerotech G33 motors?

I haven't been able to find any dealers that stock them. Were they taken off the market?

    Short and Fat Rocket Stability

I know that the 1+ caliber rule doesn't apply to short, fat rockets, but how does one determine if it's stable? Is there a formula? Can it be done in Rocksim? String testing is a little difficult with a short 8 pound rocket.

    Edible Rockets

The thought came to me while watching one of our guys launch a rocket covered with rice paper this past weekend. Of course it wouldn't be edible, but I think there are probably plenty of foods that could be altered to provide enough strength to build at least a LPR and maybe even a small MPR...

    Any Amiga Computer Fans?

Yesterday, I met a guy who wanted to give away some Amiga computers, so I volunteered to take them off his hands. I went to his house to pick them up and now my Rav4 is completely filled with two Amiga 2000's, 3 or 4 A500's, hard drives, several boxes of software and magazines, and a Newtek...

    Nose Weight

I have a 10 lb bag of fine steel shot (just over the size of a grain of sand) that I want to use for nose weight in my Flying Pumpkin. The nose needs about 30 oz of weight. My plan is to mix up a batch of West System epoxy, stir in the steel shot minus the weight of the epoxy and pour the mix...

    Hi-Tech DD?

I've got an almost complete Hi-Tech and a LOC AV bay with thoughts of making it into a DD, but the payload compartment seems a little short. By the time the AV bay and nose cone are inserted, there's very little room for a chute and shock cord. I have a defective Hi-Tech body tube that I could...
