Hey All, I contacted and met a guy and I bought a pile of rockets and parts from a Facebook Local Marketplace. When I saw the pic I thought that this was possibly a Vashon aluminum engine case but no. The handle has the Estes logo and and looks to have a cold power fill-up spot and some kind of spring loaded mechanism for launch? Anyone, what do I have here? This and the Estes GoonyBird Sky Shriek is what caught my attentionIMG_2750.JPG IMG_2751.JPG

These are my pics I didn't know what it was exactly. Like I said From the pics on the FB page I thought it was a Vashon but once I got it home I saw the Estes Logo on the trigger. Is it obsolete and just a collectors item? or is it still useable? or is the Ozone ruined for life with this? I have no idea how this thing works was mostly interested in the original Goony Sky Shriek

Some of us are very interested in Coldpower, see here from my previous incarnation:

Dr Zooch was a fan. He built a Mk II for Coldpower and Vashon testing. Propellant alternatives are available. I think it's time for a Coldpower comeback.

Or, alternatively, just send it to me and I'll cover the postage. :p
what's you're previous incarnation? I wasn't born yesterday and have launched rockets since '73 But never "cold power" What happened to you? Bailed and then rejoined in '19? Just a little attitude.

Wow, cool! I love those things... kinda biased because I had a Vashon Valkyrie before I got any Estes rockets. CA fire regulations... anybody could fly them anywhere, so I used to throw it in my bookbag and ride my bike to the nearest schoolyard to fly it.

Rocketeer in my early teens. Bar in my 50's. Now in my 60's I've sold all my vintage kits to fund a rocket business here in Oz. Crazy I know. Coldpower would be great here where we have fire bans from October to April.
