My clone of the Shadow is coming along...principle construction is complete, on towards the finish work before paint.

It's been a really, really, really, really busy Fall and Winter so far for me. But I have finally managed to put a project on my workbench.

Who knows what propellant lies in the aft of rockets?...

This one is a 24mm motor mount...like the original...as components come in, I would like to build one that has a 29mm motor mount.

About time you built something....:p
About time I edited something too! My Sod Blaster footage has been breaking my editing software and I finally figure out why - I had too much of it! So I am working on it now, Friday and Saturday are each going to need two parts.

yesterday blurred into today as I had ideas and could not sleep.

I started painting my new MPR launch pad. I rolled three fiberglass tubes, a 24mm MMT, a 88mm short BT (24") and a 42mm BT tube (46").

Sanding off the gel coat of the 6'' fiberglass nosecone of my PML Ultimate Endeavour. It did not fit as the tubes got a bit out of shape when I was glassing them.
After a lot of swearing and praising the inventor of the palm sander it now fits perfectly.

Played with the OR file for one of the HoJos I got at black friday,
I'm putting a 29mm MTube in it, I got the printed fins from Ebay.
Still in progress (OR file, haven't started the build yet) but looking good so far on OR.
I added a drogue and have the main (24") set up to deploy lower with JLCR.....though I haven't added the weight of the
JLCR yet.
I added a "chute perch" bulkhead right at CG to keep the laundry forward of that. Added 2oz of nose weight.
OR showed 3400+' and landing 350' away, looks like it might work...

This got rolling the other night with the BTs and last night I did the Bridge section and this morning I added the engine vanes.

The Bridge section needs some refining so please give me some ideas

Nice, when you have them finished can you Dropbox me the full res versions?

Add fiddly bits. Maybe a cockpit canopy or something like that. Maybe windows. Maybe guns. Other random bits here and there.

The paddle-like bridge section on the front of a long boom is inevitably evocative of a Klingon battle cruiser. Even if you're trying not to copy that, it wouldn't hurt to look there for ideas.

Very interesting design, do you have a build thread anywhere?

This design came to me the other night as I tried to fall to sleep. I got up laid up the fiberglass body tubes. I then searched the net for Klingon and Romulan battle ships. I had no idea how many different variants there are within each fleet.

I don't really have any plans drawn up but I would be happy to share how I do all the crazy stuff I do. So, feel free to ask all the questions you want.

If it flies well I may kit it, we'll see.
