I tend to paint rockets the color of the sky, which is questionable at best.

Here's the first phase of this paint job. Yellow doesn't cover the dark primer all that well, but we got a first coat down before the rain hit!

Unfortunately the gloss brought out some imperfections in the fillets I'm not super thrilled about.

That's a bright orange! Are you worried you'll lose that thing in your garage? Because I know it's not flying anytime soon!

Yeah, there's so many half built rockets in there I get scared I won't be able to find a specific one in an emergency situation.

Like if there was a launch and I wanted to bring it to show someone, but obviously not fly it.

Aeropack on! It has reached the point of rockets that actually get finished in my collection. If it has a retainer it flies [emoji6]

Gotta get this one finished so I can start on my LDRS purchase when it arrives.

Got a fun package from Missileworks.

The 1/4 kevlar is for this Punisher, and the 3/8ths is for my new L3 project that will actually fly! A big event if you know my history, haha

I'm going to use timers for the deployment. I don't like this new fangled barometer technology.

Here's all the shock cord laid out, just have to mount electronics up and she's ready to rock.

Also have a matching cat

Braden.

I will stick with twist and tuck. Sat. I had my AMW Fibermax on the pad all ready to go. Switch would not arm. Took it back to the car and cut switch wires off switch took rocket back to the pad twist and tuck and flight was perfect.

It's the simplest way! Hasn't failed me yet.

Speaking of electronics, the RRC3 is a bit long with my popsicle stick I use to but the batteries against.

I took a dremel to the popsicle stick and made a little room. All is good now! Just have to get some tubing to mount the sled to and get some standoffs for the altimeters.

Then it's ready to fly! First flight will be on a DMS J250W October 12th, so long as the weather doesn't hold us up!

Great to visit with ya at LDRS!
Good to see you back in the game. Great job on the Punisher....good luck with your flight!

Jim, Just finished a 3" Punisher, plan to fly it at the October ROSCO launch, probably on the I180 that you brought to me.

Forgot to post this up, but "The Dreamsicle" had it's first flight on a J250W to around 4,200 feet.

Flight went great, aside from the slight burning of my brand new chute.
