Earned my level 1 Cert at the Tripoli MN #45 launch today.
A good weekend all around! Congrats to you both.Successfully flew my L1 on my first attempt yesterday @ Tripoli mid-Ohio. Mach 1 Alien Interceptor on H97, stratologgerCF with rocketman streamer for drogue and a thin-mil topflight main. I owe a big shoutout to the forum and all you crazy rocket people for helping me waste countless hours learning anything and everything I needed to know about this new found addiction. See you on the flight line!View attachment 382810
Y'know, I've often imagined the desisgn inspiration for that rocket. Two guys are sitting on a couch, stoned and watching The Big Lebowski. One says "How about a rocket that looks like a giant joint?" "Yeah, would make it, like, inflatable! But what do we call it?" "Duuude!"It won’t stay fully inflated for 30 min! We looked crazy blowing up our rocket on the launch pad today. But it flew!!

Yesterday I re-ran the main parachute ejection test on the BBII with more black powder, this time getting a pass. The rocket is now airworthy.
I also got my wife and daughters to go hide with the RTx transmitter, while I used the ground station to find them. What I didn't expect was my daughters thought that was the greatest game ever invented, and we all ended up playing four rounds of neighborhood hide and seek. My wife even took a couple turns finding us, using the tracker ground station. Fun times.
Looks like an Apogee kit to me... is it..?The larger Saturn V rocket looks to be 4 inch diameter is it ? And if it is, where did you get that kit ?

Also, this one has been waiting too long, so had to start it...
Yup good old days. Now if Steve tried this he would be blasted for "Culture appropriation" and "Racism" for a white guy portraying an Egyptian. That's some funny stuff even today. They don't do comedy like that anymore.

Or maybe for its being juvenile and stupid, but I guess that's just me.Now if Steve tried this he would be blasted for "Culture appropriation" and "Racism" for a white guy portraying an Egyptian.
Community is important. Welcome and thanks. Join and support your local club too!I joined the NAR.
Also visited the Cosmodrome website. They haven't updated it in four years. The X-15 model kit they were working on would have been a nice addition to my fleet.
I've been meaning to update it for a while, but I'm trying to get all the kits back in stock, get some more prototypes flying, build a 50W laser cutter, try to design a small plastic injection machine...
