Some of those AeroTech motors aren’t really cylinders like the Estes ones, does that change anything?
Mrs Santa gave me a Majestic for Christmas as well... must have been quite popular at Hobby Lobby this season (?) I looked over the components last night, looks like it should build really easy as is. Right now the only mods I plan are replacing the waste-band shock cord with something not-so-boingy; and to leave out the motor block.

Also , has anybody modified the body tube to allow usage of a payload bay? I would like to use an altimeter with this to check actual height against what Rocksim estimates. (By the way, congratulation to DRAGON 64 on your weight loss, are you on a plan of some kind? )
I just got this a few days ago from HL (looking for something that can go together with no painting due to weather). What are you planning on replacing the shock cord with ? I was going to try and get some rockets off of my build pallet before I start another kit, but this could be completed in an evening. Since it already has a color wrap and chromed parts, I do not need to wait on painting etc. I plan to build this rocket this evening with no mods, just as is... including keeping the elastic shock cord.
Any particular adhesive you’d recommend for the conformal guides? I bought some but haven’t used them yet - haven’t made it to a cub launch for a long time...It’s definitely something you can put together in an evening all you need is some epoxy and some sandpaper to rough up the glue surfaces a bit. Only upgrades I did to mine were leaving the engine block out, a long Kevlar shock cord since I had some laying around, and conformal (glue on) rail guides. Those can always be added after the fact though. But they do look cool and are nice for club launches
DankMemes, does the Jolly Logic Chute Release fit inside the Majestic easily? This might help motivate me to get one if I can fly it on slightly smaller fields using the JLCR.
