Cw,
If you are going dd with that 29 mm mongoose, look at missile works 29mm s.m.a.r.t. System, it is sweet!!!

Just got an email from RW my last kit is on its way. Maybe X-Mass again by Sat. Very high winds here in WI today and about 4" of snow. No ice so far.

Wait, what did you do here? I see a tube junction above the fins.
Looks interesting!

The Terminator has a separate boat tail joined by a coupler to the 5" booster section. There are fins mounted in the booster and boat tail. At the end is a 75mm aerotech retainer.

A 30 inch 75mm motor mount tube run from boat tail and booster.

OK, I see what that is. That is a Centering Ring which is visible because of the fg tubing/color!?
I was referring to the "line" above the top fins in that nice pic. I thought maybe you cut the airframe there.
Sorry, my bad. Very nice missile!

Looking back, I wish I had snagged a Mongoose29 as a demo for my 29mm EX motor cases. Would have been pretty cool...oh well!

It is the only thing I bought this year. I have to figure out a means to add a mount for the shock cord in the booster. I have some carbon fiber so I will probably add a small piece of coupler and a bulkhead.

This is how I would do it! Couple that with a Raven altimeter and you're good to go.

Anyone open their 29mm mongoose? I am trying to figure out a shock cord mount. I think I might be missing a few parts.

Chuck, did not buy any rockets this year. That said, I would use a screw eye into threaded forward closure if it were me.

Guess that would only work if he had Kosdon or Dan Patell's new 29mm hardware as I don't think CTI or Aerotech have tapped forward closures.

I have had no word on the status of my black Friday order from Rocketry Warehouse. I sent 2 emails and have received no reply. The order was paid for using PayPal. They have the money. Where's the cool stuff I ordered?

That is funny. I bought 1 rocket this year. My goal is to buy less and build more.

I started building two and will start on finishing the Nuclear Sledgehammer tomorrow.

Thanks all for the updates as to what's going on - namely wighty44. Waiting on a Mongoose 75...patience is a virtue...

Awesome looking rocket, David!

On a related note, does anyone have a RockSim/OpenRocket file for the fiberglass MG75? I couldn't find one on RW's site.

Thanks, glad to help. BTW, I'm still waiting for my 3 orders, which now have moved to "pending".

I've attached a RockSim Mongoose54R2 file that I've edited to use CTI motors with a AeroPack MD motor retainer. I plan to place the retainer at a position that will allow me to use 1-6 grain 38 or 54mm motors.

Anytime! Do you have a file for the Mongoose 75?

I am also waiting patiently for my CF Mongoose 75 and do appreciate the recent updates by wighty44.
Am also looking for a 75 Mongoose rocksim file.

Osprey 75 as a sustainer. The NC is a 6:1, not the 5:1 that comes with the kit. Fantastic kit for the $.
