I'm waiting on some more rocketpoxy to finish the fillets but then ill probably do a thread with more pics.

Started wrapping the 4" wildman in pink fractals. This one will stand out on the pads for certain.

Wow. That's gorgeous!!

Picked up some sanding masks and began sanding the motor tube for my Tomach 54mm. Then I realized my wife threw my instructions away cleaning the house.

Epoxied my first fiberglass (ever) motor mount tonight. Used RocketPoxy on my 54mm Tomach Motor mount tube after sanding it down with 100 grit. After dealing with BS 5 and 30 min for all previous rocket builds, I was pleasantly surprised that the smell was not even close to being as bad!

Amen to the smell! BS 15min is the worst, 30 min not so bad. But I too used Rocketpoxy for the first time, nice thick stuff for fillets!

Sat on my friends deck overlooking deep creek lake reading TRF. Gotta love this site. You can never have nothing to do. There's always something to read or learn on here! And a great setting to enjoy it too!

Ridiculous pink fractal rocket is fully wrapped:

Black plastic NC tip and aeropack tailcone were left raw, the only paint is on the fins. Just gotta rig up the avbay this week and hopefully I can find a K to put it up on at the launch this weekend.

That is slick! Love it!:)

Got started on my vintage Estes STAR WARS R2-D2 model. One of three I'll be working on as my Christmas Holiday Project for the next few weeks. The other two models are the Estes D-Region Tomahawk and vintage Estes Sandhawk. See pic below:

Building a Mad Cow Black Brandt II 5.5" FG rocket; however, it doesn't come with any build instructions. Anyone have experience with this rocket? Thanks.

I bought some things on eBay that I really didn't need (do we ever?). And I just got back from seeing Star Wars again.

Did the math and realized my 11 year old son burned 1218Ns last summer (18 flights). I expect he'll burn 5-10 times that next year.......

Made a little more progress on my vintage Estes R2-D2 model, that I started last week. Nice model, but the painting required is making it more of a challenge than I had expected. It's ok, I love challenges!

Man, I cannot explain how much I love to have time in the shop when I am away from the "day job"! I have to burn vacation time before year end so I am cranking out thrust plates. Photo Dec 21, 6 23 57 PM.jpg

Thanks, I like the aluminum look, it's a shame sometimes to anodize them! But much easier to care for after flight..................
