Snoman,
the best way to do pics here is to go to photobucket or like website, create an account, upload your pics there. When posting here, I open a second browser window and got to photobucket. While writing a post here, I switch over to photobucket when I want to insert a pic. Click on the IMG code address, it automatically saves it to your "clipboard", switch back to here and hit Ctrl + V
and it pastes the photo address in your post. After you hit "post" it creates a virtual picture in your post. So when you come back to your post, there's the pictures.. Viola!.

Save the photos from your email to your hard drive on your computer. then upload to photobucket from there, download to TRF from there..

All rockets are in limbo at this time, working on two new launch pads.

A 8', 12', 16' launch pad with 80/20 goodies, rails are 1010 & 1515 series.

Going to mount both rails together(1010 & 1515) back to back, should work

unless a guy wants ta drag race ? (interesting idea I had this morning)!!!!!!!!!!

Smaller rockets of coarse. ;) :D :D :D :D :D :D

The other is a 8' tower launcher so I can get max alt out of the carbon

rockets(30% better coefficient drag without the launch lugs).

See ya

I'm putting down a deposit on Blackbird, cost=$225 plus shipping. Very high-end materials used throughout--carbon fiber airframe, about 41" long, high performance fins (rated for insane altitudes). Kit even comes with a special adhesive. Airframe is so smooth, cured in autoclave under pressure, that no paint is needed.

Dave claims this thing is practically RTF, only requiring 15 minutes build time.

Hmm, interesting. I think its awesome that they are doing a 29mm bird. Someone should do a review.

Has anybody ordered the Phoenix? I put my order in a couple weeks ago, the Phoenix is a 75mm rocket not a 54 mm, that was the Shock Value. I got my Raven about a month ago and it is a great kit, it could be labeled almost ready to fly, one nice rocket. This is my third Raven, I lost the other two so this time I am flying with a rocket hunter.

;)

What do you plan to fly the Phoenix on? It seems there is some question about the availablitiy of the KBA M1450 & M2900 reloads that Dave recommends for it. Maybe the AT M1850 is deserving of this rocket?

Any photos of your new Raven3? Everyone wants to see!

Sorry about the thread hijack...

As for motors for the Phoenix I am a hard core EX’er, I make all my motors. I have an AMW 7600 ns case lying around that I am going to load with a long burn motor and fly it at BALLS. It would also be fun to make a fast burn blue tail and blow it off the pad but for altitude I am going with the long burn. No matter what I use this should be a fun rocket to fly.

Here are the pics of the BlackBird with the PML airframe tubing...

I think i should clarify; the airframe of the 54mm BlackBird is Carbon Fiber layup over PML tubing, not just cardboard tubing. there are clear areas that mr. triano left unfinished to expose the carbon fiber underneath. this was not a kit, it was built by mr. triano personally. i bought it from him on ebay a few years ago.

Nice rocket Elapid, Dave does good work, he built a 4” rocket for me a couple years ago to fly at BALL, I hit 30,000 feet on a 12000 ns N, would have gone higher but it cocked into the wind. Here are some pictures of the bird.

That's a real Hot Rod.
All the stuff Triano does is real nice....

IIRC - Triano/ShadowAero - made the Shockwave?/Shock Value? that Dan Stroud flew as Cosmos II in the supersonic showdown in that Rocket Challenge TV show....

Really neat...

Don, are those aerofoiled fins molded CF or sanded CF? I'm curious because he did a really good job on those.

I am not sure if Dave sanded of molded the fins but they are a work of art, Dave does good work, his stuff may be pricey but I think you get what you pay for.

Yeah that was pretty cool. What did he fly it on? I thought remember they said it was an I motor. But you would think it would be a J.
