Not too much, just spackled and sanded the SAM 3 and a 24mm cluster rocket. Started on the baffle for the 4" level 2 rocket. Old LOC wire baffle makes it easy.

Finished my Tail Cone Assembly for my ALARM. I'm so glad I went with Plastic instead of that Paper Cone. I used the Paper Cone slipped over the piece Nose Cone I used to get my basic Measurements. Really wish I had my Camera to post Pics'. It really turned out nice. I'll post pics in my Build Thread tomorrow. I finished the Tail Cone up on my Drill Press by using it as an Improvised Lathe. Oh, and I also finised removing the Seam from the Nose Cone and got it sanded, once again employing the Drill Press.

Finished rebuilding my above-the-rocket camera mount using a nose cone for my AT Mustang. You may have seen this contraption before; I built it last year and originally it was on a LPR with a BT-55 nose cone. It worked pretty good. A 808 keychain camera gets taped onto the right side and the thing on the left side is a counterweight. This month at MDRA we'll see if it survives a ride on the Mustang.

I can't wait to see this upscaled to use GoPros!

That's quite the impressive Apparatus!!!

make a third fins to fins , only one left to do ( the rockets as 4 fins ) , after I start 2 others rockets with also fins to fins.

I ordered a couple yards of faux fur to complete our latest rocket build.

I am both intrigued by, and concerned about the above the statement. Obviously, additional details are required. :)

(I'm guessing that you referring to your Akavish project?)

Put the rockets away in the rocket room, started simming motors for a two-stage Wildman Jr / Shapeshifter stack, sent out a survey to the students interested in our school's rocket club, pondered a 54mm 6xl motor for the 3" Darkstar since the K1440 was so very great at AIRFest last weekend. Also considering what to launch at this month's THOR launch. Possibly either of the aforementioned or something completely different.

I put the second coat of primer on the Vulcan this morning. This evening I got a couple of rockets ready for tomorrow's SEVRA launch at NALF Fentress. The Behemoth Bertha 75 will have its maiden flight tomorrow on an L995 Red Lightning. Pics tomorrow.

Drew up a BT-5 carded downscale of the Estes ROGUE. A slight downscale but a downscale none the less.
I haven't drawn one up in a while, I have a LOT of free time on my hands this month.

Don't ask for a PDF - yet. I've got to get home and build, fly and make revisions.

Very cool! Got a pdf?:kill:

Let's see - F'n'Finished Der Red Max and the Quest Magnum BT's & fins, assembled the Mega Mosquito's fins (P.I.T.A even with Titebond trim) and realized I left my weight units in the garage :S. Some gaps in one fin; otherwise found that spreading glue thin worked MUCH better that piping it on w/ a syringe. Removed glassine from the M. Mosquito BT and am pondering how to stiffen up the tube economically.

Tackled the Job of a Paper Nose Cone Tip. I'de never done it before so I just assumed it was a dumb Idea, but I tried my Hand at it and it is coming out nicely so far.

I thought maybe the fur was for some rocket stands. Like these:

Snazzy fur lined rocket cradles.

Today I ordered a couple of 3" couplers and one 4" coupler from LOC Precision. Trying to maximize the goods ordered versus the shipping fee, I added a 9/0 1000# swivel to order. You just can't have too many swivels on hand.

In other news, the Madcow Squat rocket nosecone is completely resurfaced, glazed, sanded, and primed. I will do a bit of wet sanding and then hit it with my signature Rusto fluoro pink followed by Rusto Crystal Clear enamel.

My plan to convert Steppin' Razor II to dual deploy has come to naught. The assembled av bay weighs 16 ounces without the electronics and 9v battery installed and would really make the bird too heavy. I'm now going to install a coupler (see order above) and a 9" length of body tube to bring SR II back to its original length. That way I can go back to my original shock cord attachment method without having to repaint the airframe. Going to look into a cable cutter for dual deploy.

I just wish I had the crowd you seem to always have for your launches. Looks like a good time, and more eyes tracking never hurts.

I finish my fins to fins on my 5.5" Patriot and I start a Madcow Nike in fiberglass, will be fins to fins layers too.

That was a very cool flight on that motor. I put up my 3" Wildman Dual Deploy on the 5 grain White Thunder - the K1200 also a very cool motor. Come to think of it, the White Thunder reloads are by far my favorite CTI motors, although the C-Stars are a close 2nd in my book. just love all that thick white smoke and of course the roar!!! THOR launch is right around the corner, better get thinking - you to Beerorkid!!

Come on Beer, I've seen every high power launch you've ever done in Jansen!!! Was I the only one watching?
