I've heard C* and Propellant X are very difficult in the small sizes.

What about more C* and IM loads in the 54mm motors. I'm guessing a 54 3G Imax would be a baby K! And an awesome one at that.

The K360 is already a Pro-54 3g Babiest K , and in the 4g there is a K740 C-Star. Have flown both ot these in my Vindicator DD.

My problem is that anything I have that would fly well with the 54 1g i165 C Star , I had built with a 38mm motor mount. With the advent of the Pro38 5g i125 LB , maybe we can hope for a Cstar in 38mm or 29mm for those rockets I have built.

I would buy a 3-grain Imax reload. Or 4-grain. In either 38 or 54. Both, (all 4?) actually.

I would love it if they made a Pro-29 G class Green^3 reload. (Before anybody says anything I do know they make one in 24mm.)

There is one the H159G 6G 29mm

Edit: Ooops Just saw you wanted a G

Continuing this theme, is there any chance of getting a 6XL grain C-Star in 54 mm? I love the L935. I am about to launch the L1030, and a K300 longburn. Is it possible to get more thrust, and more total impulse in the 6XL case, or is the Imax L935 getting close to the limit for that case?

It seems that in the long cases, Imax packs the most impulse in.

A C* L in the 6GXL would be a frightening motor to behold, though.

Yes, but c-star should be pretty close to Imax in total impulse, with a lighter initial weight and propellant weight, better isp, and a dramatically different thrust profile (much shorter burn with more kick). It would be an interesting motor, that's for sure.

imax or c-star would be awesome in a 3g 38mm. long burn low-mid I...i could stand a long burn H as well...H100 looks great, but a long burn full H would be that much greater.

Just curious. 54 mm is still fairly affordable for me. I could go to 75 mm, but could not fly much there at present. Hopefully that will change. But for now, I am looking to max out the 54 mm stuff. That and the nice 54 mm rockets that are coming out like the Space Cowboy, carbon Tomachs at Madcow, and other stuff, one could get a pretty serious rocket with these 54 mm motors.

On-board footage from a 4" Vindicator on a CTI J760 White Thunder at Sanford Regional Airport, Sanford ME this past Saturday. It really got out of their quick!

On another note, is there much difference performance wise for the L990 Blue Streak and the L1030 Red Lightning? Comparisons of the charts and stats, look similar to me.

I didn't realize that I never posted this picture. Chris Cotner took this picture of my minimum diameter N3301 at LDRS.

A Pro54-6GXL C* would have a lower or similar total impulse than the L935 Imax because the burn rate of the C* is significantly higher; as a result the core would have to be opened up. If you are looking for a lot of thrust in 54, don't overlook the Pro54-5G K1200 and Pro54-6G K1440 White Thunder motors. They have a lot of thrust. Maybe one day there will be a White Thunder or C* 6GXL.....

Great photo! As far as I know, there have been several N3301 minimum diameter flights, but no one has been able to recover or survive Max-Q.

You are correct. This is a matter of personal preference.

I am still waiting for this release. When is the next cert session?

We are planning a fall test cert session. If that doesn't happen, it will be certified in a mini session. This motor is long overdue.

Not a great photo of the Rocket but 3 CTI I800's make a long flame compared to my 7' tall Chimera 4! I might have bent the rail...

Thanks Jeroen. Great stuff. Love your motors. I definitely have the K1440 on my short list. I was just curious about
C*. People have raved about it. I will have to get a 3g or 4g and see one in action. Thanks again.

While this is not my rocket, it IS my casing. :handshake: It's a decent effort IMO of a snap or two.
;)

A 29mm 305-H226 6XL skidmark (Compressed the hell out of them to get them under the limit :( )

Interesting stuff. Competed yesterday in the Radical Rocketeers "Open Skies 2013." Got to say, had a very successful duel egglofter flight, on a CTI F59 reload. Went to 266 meters. Not a record but an impressive flight. Glenn
