K and S Rockets will be under new management starting June 10th. With the change in Scott’s job he does not have the time it takes to run the business so he is turning it over to his son Austin. Starting Monday I will be taking over the rocketry business and working on orders. All orders will be processed, so please bare with me till I get everything organized. I will be using this account on this forum. Not sure how much I will be on here at first till I get everything caught up.

New hours Mon thru Thurs 8am to 4pm we can be reached by email. The website is 24/7 to place orders. Email address will be the same but the phone number is going to change as soon as I get the new line ran in the shop. The best way to contact is through email at this point.

Thank you for your support
Austin

Welcome to TRF, Austin! Glad to hear it's a job thing and nothing health related. Are you the racer? I'll take this opportunity to request a couple of av bays before you ship out my other order. I'll give you a little time to get organized from under the avalanche before I order. Wasn't sure what was happening, so I held back. I'm sure you'll hear from others I know have stuff pending also. Tell your Dad "Hi!" for me and wish him well. Congrats on the promotion-you have big shoes to fill and I'm sure you'll do well with it.

Hi Austin and welcome to TRF. Just my opinion, but I would highly suggest you make a new K&S account to eliminate confusion. Good luck with the business.

I will not be making a new account. Dad still owns the business. I am just running it.

I will be deleting the k and s facebook page. I find it to be a waste of time posting info there and on the main website. So all new items and changes will be posted on the website not on facebook. I am going to try and streamline things so it makes it easier to get things done.

I wasn't suggesting you kill the old one, just that you make your own. Something like "kandsrockets2" or "kandsrocketsAusin"

The only info that will be posted by this account will be related to K and S Rockets only

Thanks and no I do not race. That is the youngest of 5 boys. Those karts my brother races scares the crap out of me.

Austin, good luck! Your father did serve me very well and on schedule in the past on this side of the atlantic too. It was a pleasure to do international business with him.
His large chutes and recovery harnesses are simply great to use.

Good luck Austin, another great group that is on my to order from list!!

glad to hear that everything is going to get straightened out! I hope to see some new stuff out just as soon as you clear the backlog! I know some people were concerned... Say "hi" to your dad for me, and welcome, Austin.

Austin

I mailed your Dad some military chutes to have Kevlar bridles made for them. I sent him 3 chutes and 3 swivels with 2 elastic shock cords to have some loops sewn on each end. This was back in February. Any idea when they might be done? I've called several times over the last couple months and no returns calls. If you are unableto do the work I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could mail the items back along with the check I sent him. I'll find someone else to make he repairs.

Thank you!

I just sent Scott an email and called him telling him to send back the chutes I sent in over 4 months ago to have repair work done. The guy doesn't return calls or answer emails. The least he could do is that.

Don't want to muddy the waters here, but is K&S cashing checks and not fulfilling?

If this is the case, buyer beware! Hopefully his son can claw back their reputation, but sounds like that will be a steep hill to climb.

Scott hasn't cashed my check...

I sent him some chutes to have bridles sewn on and he failed to do the work. I called him several times and I have also emailed him several times and he has failed to respond to the phone messages and the emails. I have no idea why this is so difficult. I told him to take his time on the chutes, but 4 months is a bit too long to wait. I figured a couple weeks is an average turn around, at least that was the way it was before. I know his business is going through changes but why can't he pick up the phone and follow up. He has my chutes and a un-cashed check. I'm just asking him to return my chutes, shock cord and hardware I sent him. How hard is that???

I didn't want to say it, but this is exactly what I was thinking. It's not hard, no matter what the state of your business is, to sit down one night and simply email everyone with open business. A little communication goes a long way.

I totally agree! I tell you this much Scott already lost my business and I'm sure there are others who feel the same way. A phone call or an email goes a long way. OMG just ship my chutes back so I can get someone reliable to do the work.

First off, welcome to TRF, and I wish you all the best at K&S!

Second, and this is just a suggestion, but deleting the Facebook page might be not the best course of action. Updating it might not be necessary, but keeping a live weblink on that page would probably be sufficient. The more links to K&S the better, even if you don't post regularly to Facebook.

Just my 2¢...

My PayPal payment was debited to my credit card on March 10. I've been promised 2 different shipping dates and both have come and long gone.

I have a very bad feeling I've just lost a chunk of change.

You guys have all shown more patience than I would have.

If it were me, I'd probably be going here.

Yes and you only have I believe 45 days to file a claim.. and out generosity and trust has taken us WAY past that..

I have been waiting for 2 items. both paid for... SEVERAL e-mails and Pm's EVEN since the "new management" thing... and still no response..

I hate to take a jab at a vendor.. especially since I am one. but Crappy service has no place here.

WHOMEVER is running K and S now please take care of your business and your customers.. I think ALL of us have been WAY more than patient..

Dont read me wrong we understand things happen.. but that only goes so far..

If I could I'd file a paypal claim... since its been to long. I think I will file with my bank... Sorry guys but unless I see a package at my door or a "tracking info received" e-mail really shortly I think that is the best thing to do...

Thanks Kevin

I just submitted my claim against Scott. I made sure to post he didn't cash my check, but he does have my personal items I would like returned.

Wow...pissing off an average Joe consumer is one thing. Pissing off someone like Mark can be REALLY bad for your business.

So we confirmed: he is cashing checks/accepting payments/withholding people's items and not delivering.

Even the best reputations can be damaged. I would say that 3-4 months ago Scott had a great reputation. I understand that life gets in the way, but when money gets involved it can get nasty. Especially when that money has been allocated to a hobby.

This is not acceptable.

Why? I'm a really nice guy... till you mess with me.. remember "In space no one can hear you scream!"

seriously I love my past dealings with Scott. and if he has had troubles I understand... but if he is having troubles.. keep us updated and all is good... go months without so much as a "hey I'm working on it sorry" then its a problem..

SCOTT sorry bro but I gotta cover my ass.. claim filed...
