"It's a world of laughter, a world of tears,It could be worse -
I've worked for years at Walt Disney World.
That song from the ride with the cutesy (demon) dolls can stay with you long after you leave the park.
"It's a world of laughter, a world of tears,
It's a world of hope and a world of fears.
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all!"
Now get that out of your head!

A song stuck in your head is called an "earworm." An earworm can be contagious. My wife and I will swap them back and forth. I'll get something stuck in my head and start humming or singing it, and pretty soon she'll have it too. She does the same to me.
2. It's a song that I really hate.
I once read that a earworm gets started in your head because your mind is trying to complete the song. It suggested the way to remove the earworm was to listen to the song from start to finish. That can be excruciating in itself if the song is something vile like "Mah Nah Mah Nah"
LOL!
So funny you mentioned Mah Nah Mah Nah! That is one of our most notorious earworms for my wife and I! In fact we have a sick and twisted routine --- if one of us starts with "Mah Nah Mah Nah," the other is OBLIGATED to reply with "Doo Doo Dee Doo."
Most of the songs that get stuck in my head are ones I hate also. Went nearly a week one time with Herman's Hermits Henry the 8th. Thought I was gonna loose my mind.

Oh, and let's not forget THIS little jewel.
You are Evil and must be destroyed.

Does anyone remember this mind bender? I know I'll never get it out of my head.

Try this, with seven paramedics, two supervisors, and eleven EMTs, and you just described a Tuesday at my job.
I may or may not (mostly may) have held a part in its genesis...
Later!
