Curious to see what you all might want to improve in the rocketry community such as kits, electronics, building materials, recovery systems, etc. New ideas are always a wonderful option as well!
Look for companies that build or retrofit aircraft interiors. Honeycomb panels with carbon, fiberglass, or aluminum skins. See if you can go through the scrap bin. Lightweight and very rigid. Here's an example, *very* expensive https://www.mcmaster.com/panels/shape~honeycomb/performance-properties~high-strength/1. fin material that uses an internal honeycomb structure like what is used in yachts, super lightweight, super strong.
I've looked at dirt track radiator guards before, they seem pretty likely.Look for companies that build or retrofit aircraft interiors. Honeycomb panels with carbon, fiberglass, or aluminum skins. ...and soybeans that grow zero feet high.low growing corn...
corn plants that grow 2 or 3 feet high, not 7or 8 feet!
Anyone who has had to tromp through soybeans can tell you that the plant being shorter doesn't help as much as you would think.low growing corn...

true, and I have recovered form Soy plants. but tall corn is just.. bad..Anyone who has had to tromp through soybeans can tell you that the plant being shorter doesn't help as much as you would think.
Me too. And BT-5 nose cones as well as BT-50 nose cones. But with BT-55 nose cones that can be purchased separately (or from a reasonably priced kit), there are what, just 2 or 3 plastic nose cone options?I would love to see more options in BT-60 PLASTIC nosecones.
What about Mach1's small FG kits?A selection of low powered kits with better materials. Ply centering rings, Kevlar shock cords, thicker tubes, TTW fin attachment. Basswood or Ply fins. An example if this are the 1.0" kits from LOC. In my opinion the best on the market. Just wish they had more designs. Would love a selection similar to Estes with better materials.

Look into Tiles. They’re used as a locator for wallets, keys, etc. I consistently get about 300’ of range on them. Once you’re in range follow the signal strength indicator on your phone until you’re within hearing range of the ring tone on the Tile3. A small, lightweight tracker that can be used in most BT-20 sport rockets. Maybe something that provides directional finding to almost any smartphone at a range of several hundred feet (not sure if this is possible or what legal hurdles may exist...)
Those won't fit in a BT-20 sized rocket, though.Look into Tiles. They’re used as a locator for wallets, keys, etc. I consistently get about 300’ of range on them. Once you’re in range follow the signal strength indicator on your phone until you’re within hearing range of the ring tone on the Tile
