Anyone know if an AIM-9X Model is available from any vendor or Kit Manufacturer ??
I am looking for Low, Medium or High Power

I have only ever seen the older AIM-9L or other Earlier Version of the Missle

Paul,

I have not seen any kits of the AIM-9X Sidewinder. I have some good photo's, but no dimensioned drawings. Most likely, it is still Classified.

Thank you Dave .................. I am just going to start the design of a model
myself on Rocksim. The Photos will help !!
 
Dimensioned drawings probably wouldn't be "classified," per se, but would definitely fall under ITAR. I'm sure a model of reasonable accuracy could be built from the line drawings that are online though!
 
Interesting, but not sure why he says it didn't go into service till the 80's.....

As I see it, there are a couple of possible reasons.

( 1 ) He was wrong.
( 2 ) That particular version of the Sidewinder missile went into service in the 1980's.
