I'm frantically working on my NARAM project - I just filled in the spirals today. Hopefully, everything will be ready in time.

I'm still trying to figure out how I can get to go (mainly whether I want to drive all day for four days) and afford the motel.

Unfortunately, FlisKits will not be able to make it this year. Just too far and too much going on local here.

We have donated range box stickers and several items for the raffle plus we are sponsoring one of the championships, so we will be represented :)

Good luck to all!

Jim.... That is a bummer but I totally understand. You will definitely be missed.

Here are a few I am hoping to fly at NARAM. I have about 3-4 more that I am trying to finish up as well.

Too bad there's no Factory Outlet Store at Estes.

NARAM will be a spending fest.

You'd think they'd put up a tent in their parking lot -- although I suppose they might not actually have very much product in the building any more.

Estes still makes its engines in Penrose, right?

They will have items for sale at NARAM-52.

They make lots of stuff at the factory in Penrose. They even posted photos of the first new Saturn V kits coming off the production line. See post 86 in this thread:

Cat has urinary tract infection and is dehydrated. Treatment: administer sub-cutaneous fluids, and give her antibiotics. Throw a chunk of change at the vet and do it myself, or throw a big chunk of change at the vet and leave her there while I go to NARAM? Sigh, haven't got the bigger chunk of change. So no NARAM for me.

Not able to attend NARAM this year either. Way too much happening this summer! I'll miss seeing most of you! Bill at Balsa Machining will have a supply of Sirius Rocketry kits there though, including some of the early-numbered Deimos kits.

Someone let us all know where next year's events are going to be when they announce them at NARAM. We are hoping to see you all next year!

 Another big thumbs-up for naramlive.com What a great site. Some "Friday" pictures of the hotel are already posted!!! :pop:

I wanted to go this year, Work and other unforeseen's just wouldn't let it happen.

To all that are attending.. good luck and have fun! try out some of the new CTI 24mm's for me!

Fred, god luck on your LII attempt!

I arrived at the NARAM-52 hotel about 3:30 PM local time.

Quite a few rocket folks heare already. Trip Barber (NAR Pres) told me that there were over 240 people registered.

It's raining pretty steady right now. The lights in the hotel are flickering.

More tomorrow.

Wish I could be there. Can someone post close up quality pictures of the Estes Display with the built kits? Thank you

Here's a picture of the Estes Pavilion on the field.

I didn't see any built-up kits on display but they did have all the new kits that have so far been released (Plus the Saturn V) in packages on display. All were for sale.

Dave,

Sorry you couldn't make it to NARAM this year. :(

I picked up one of your Deimos kits from Bill at BMS this morning. I like the look of it.

Early rumors have NARAM-53 being in Ohio next year.

When was the last time Estes had an official company tent/pavilion at a NARAM?

In the modern era of my going to NARAMs (I went to NARAM 13, didn't make it back to another until 32, twenty years ago), Estes has not had any vendor presence, except for Mary Roberts who would attend at least through the day of the manufacturers demos. To be fair, for those NARAMs there were no range tents; stores were in hotel rooms only. I remember in Chicago (NARAM 33) Vern and Gleda offered their help in setting up all the rockets she was flying at the manufacturers' demo (yes, I think she accepted). In 1992, at Initiator001's NARAM in Las Vegas, the Estes R&D guys came to fly, and crash, a 1/45 scale Saturn 1B. By NARAM 36 in Houston (1994), the chilliness in the relationship was about to set in... Mary was only able to come in for a day or so, and I think Estes hasn't sent anyone officially since then.

I think some employees did attend NARAM 42 (on Vern's property) but definitely not in an official capacity.

Hey, thanks for posting the NARAM pictures. Some of those rockets look absolutely great!

Just spoke with Carl. Man, that boy is just having TOO much fun! LOL

It's going to be an interesting set of NAR national events with Estes in the mix again. It's good to see but more than a bit intimidating at times :)

Wish I was there... man...
