It came in an older rocket I purchased. It's mounted to a bulkhead and wired to a charge well, so it's either a timer or an altimeter.

Does anyone know what it is and how it works?

Yup, Got a couple of them. Apogee only barometric deployment altimeter. I believe it had a 5000' ASL limit unless the chip was modified by the
maker. I think perhaps Mike Dorffler did some work on this even though Transolve sold most of them. Don't hold me to it but I stumbled onto a website
that suggested that besides his design on a straight up Estes altimeter. Oh, low current ematch and they said to use the 12V battery one time only. Kurt

Thanks for the responses. Transolve has a website but I couldn't find the P7 on there, or any literature or manuals. I'll shoot an email to the contact listed and see if they have something they can send.
