I flew my second Estes V-2 for the first time over the weekend. This one is finished with a paint job from the #3 test at White Sands, on May 10, 1946. The flight was on an E9-4. Good flight, but the wind pushed it down range a bit. It landed in the soft part of the field (just tilled), but still popped a fin loose...

A couple of years old now, but my brother-in-law's V2, paint scheme of the third test flight, Estes recent kit with fins cut back to scale , chain guards added, and nose cone pointed with putty!
