Does anyone know if Rocket Rage Chutes are still being made / in business....
I know they made a toroidal shaped chute,,
But I'm not certain if that was the only shape they made.....
Also through all of the searching I came passed the name Carl ?????
I got my hands on one used and am seriously impressed.....
I would love if they are still available...
I searched and searched and came up empty...........

No.
I won a smaller Rocket Rage chute from ROL years ago.
Too nice to even fly it!

He was located on the west coast... CA I believe.

Carl Delzell was the man, out of Barstow, CA. He got out a while ago and recently returned to sell off a bunch of his old rockets and stuff. I don't think he plans to return to the hobby for a while. Too bad- he is a really nice guy, expert flyer, and offered amazing chutes!

Thank you much guys.....
I'm not certain,,
but I thought I looked last year and found a website...
Now I looked and couldn't find it....
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Carl....

Fruity Chutes makes toroidal recovery chutes. Believe they're called Iris Ultra.

https://www.fruitychutes.com/

From what I read Fruity started on the toroidal when RocketRage stopped.

Fruity streamlined the design a bit by maintaining or slowing the descent slightly ..but they did witb a 6 gore design.

I have a RRQ150 and could find no real specifications online when searched.

The Fruity Chutes Iris Ultra is supposed to be available in smaller sizes like 30". When I talked to Gene at the October Skies, they were not yet available but they are now advertised on the website.

I have at least half a dozen Fruity Chutes and have never looked back.

Both are great chutes. I buy rocket rage chutes when I see them for sale.

Keep an eye out. They come up for sale every once and a while.

Maybe I'm wrong but I seem to remember Rocket Rage producing recovery chutes for small airplanes similar to Fruity Chutes UAV?Drone Chutes.

THIS.

Carl was a great guy to deal with and he was happy to accommodate custom color requests. Super good dude, he was a pleasure to do business with. :handshake:
