Haven't built it for myself but I can vouch for PML in general. There's a 38mm and a 29mm-powered Bull Pup towards the bottom of this page. Note PML is apparently temporarily closed while they move to a new location.

Really hard to go wrong with a PML kit. Great instructions. The biggest decision will be whether to run a piston on the Quantum Tube designs.

Dad and son, but dad did have a crash once and needed a patch to fix him up.

One time, about 20 25 years ago, I was trying to get my older son to ride over a "ramp" which was a 2x4 with an 18" piece of wood on it, maybe 2" high. He was too scared. So I got on his bike and went over it, pulling a wheelie. I overbalanced and, in an effort not to scratch the bike, I scratched up myself.

A few hours later, someone was asking me "how did you get all skinned up"?

My Deuces Wild! Fleet

Fliskits original
3in 2x24 and 2x29
4in 2x29 and 2x38
7.5 in 2x38 and 2x54

Tom has a nice Deuce fleet as well.

Bertha family: Mini, baby, Big, Boat-tailed Big, and Super Big, with a goonie thrown in for good luck Bertha Family 1.jpg

Very nice paint. I did mine pseudo-stock, because of my lack of creativity.

I need to talk you into building a 29 or 38 mm.

Thanks! Yeah, a 4" version with a 38mm mount is already "built" in openrocket and I just need to order parts. Probably a winter project. Got a 3" Goblin (29mm) in the build process right now and I'm horribly busy with all kinds of other stuff too :)

I have a New Way Squared Max in the works to add to this family :)

Do the 29 first, and get comfortable with it. A 29mm Big Daddy is a little nuts when maxed out. The 38 and 54 are far more ridiculous.

If you need hints for making a Big Daddy survive a serious H or more, I can make some recommendations, but we are in a gray area.

I have a few level 1 high power flights on Big Daddy's (H-238, H-268, H-550)........

My 54mm Big Daddy will go on a J-250 when the weather and winds are right.

I'm tempted to post a pic of my Centuri/Semroc "Thunder" series but they're still nekkid.

Go for it, love to see them. I've only got one more family pic before I go to kissing cousins (rockets that look the same but made by different companies).

OK close your eyes, I couldn't find any fig leaves.
The Thunderroc family:

l to r: Semroc Thunderbee (clone), Centuri Thunderhawk (clone), Centuri Thunderbird (clone), Semroc Thunderstrike (clone), Centuri ThunderRoc (clone), Semroc ThunderStorm (kit).

Missing is the Semroc ThunderChief clone. I have it somewhere but can't find it at the moment.

The Cherokees..

D on the left, J on the right.

The Cherokee D is a little short right now due to an excavation experiment (unsuccessful). The Cherokee J, is a custom build in blue tube (I hate those spirals) extended for dual deploy and is a 38mm.

I've loved that Broadsword color scheme since it came out. These are done with the latest version of the Estes Super Big Bertha, regular Estes Big Bertha, New Way's Big Bessie, Estes Baby Bertha, Mini Bertha cloned with parts from eRockets.biz, and a scratch micro based on a BT-5 tube. BTW - that micro flies awesomely with a micro motor. First three have Stickershock decals and the last three are printed on a laser printer. They're nowhere near as bright but they are good enough.

Maxed out.jpg

This was on Max Day last summer. I flew all 20-something of the Maxes I had at the time. I think I've since built three more.

I have Rogues in BT-5, BT-20, BT-50, BT-55, and a Q-Modeling BT-60ish version. I've also got one of the Estes Pro Series Nike Smoke kits that I plan to turn into a Rogue.
