Quest - X-30 National Aerospace Plane

I picked this up about 3 or 4 years ago. It was a $5 loss leader at Performance Hobbies.
Long OOP, the cardstock shell had yellowed slightly in the bag.
Still a fun build.

I built one years ago with my son and it was a big hit since it was already detailed out of the bag. I finally lost it when an extra powerful ejection charge blew it apart. Great to see a one out in the wild. I still have my DC-Y which I have never flown for fear of the same thing happening. I also got to see Dave Schaefer fly his big model of the X-30 several times which was just a fantastic sight.

I built this one many years ago. Finally flew it last week, and it flew great on a C6-3.
Unfortunately it was one of the two launches that I didn't photograph.

I have one in the build pile. I probably bought it 15 years ago. One of these days....

Don't do what I did with mine and try to fly it with a D13!

Launched about 5 months ago on a C6-3.
Good flight and recovery.
