Open Rocket question.

I keep ending up with the parachute and shock chord wrapped around the outside of the body tube.
What am I doing wrong?

Set your "Packed diameter" for the two components to something smaller than the OD of the rocket.



Occasionally you'll get centering rings that will do the same thing, despite being set for the ID of the body tube, and when that happens, I don't have a solution other than to make the CRs progressively smaller than the ID.

Note: the "packed" dimensions of parachute and shock.cord object have no effect on rocket performance. The option is really just convenient for seeing how things fit inside (if you actually know what size theg pack down to
