That K-1100 flight was a perfect shakedown flight!

She finally flew!!!

Fflight was on a K1100 to 3,439’ at 486fps.

The second flight was on a J800 to 2400 feet.

Both had a perfect recovery!

Thank you and agreed. Thinking a K1000 will be next. An extra 1000 newtons will take her to 6000’.

Flew twice over the weekend; K1100 and a J800. Everything worked well. The electronics are good, drogue and main are spot on.

That 10’ RM main is beautiful!!

Wrapping up a few items that I spoke too but never followed up on.

The rail buttons with their stand offs came out exactly as designed. Secured with a stainless counter sunk screw.

Also to ensure that the harness doesn’t get knotted and all stays secure I installed a 30kn swivel via a 25kn locking carabiner. Confident the knot in the nylon will hold.

All that’s left to do now is fly

Sweet setup and congrats on the flights!

You may have a reason for the carabiner, but you could eliminate it if you wanted by installing the swivel before tying off the nylon. Just pass the loop from the fin can through the swivel and them bring it up and over the whole unit. It’ll make a girth hitch then you can attach the nylon. It’s similar to how you attach a fish hook too the middle of a line.
