You are a bit like me then. I started flying LPR in 1973 (mainly Centuri), stopped for a bit, flew again in the early 80’s, other things took over, flew a bit in the 90’s. Then discovered MPR and HPR in the early 2000’s. Since discovering HPR I haven’t stopped building and flying!
 
New to high-powered rocketry Used to launch the Estes rockets when I was younger. Have since got turned on to the high-powered rockets.
Have you done any MPR? It can provide much of the fun of "bigger, faster, higher" at much lower expense and with shorter recovery walks than HPR. I'm not knocking HPR; I'm L1 certified and planning to go L2, but MPR is not to be overlooked.
