The final upscale (?) of the beautiful Semroc Hydra is more like the Semroc original in appearance. See that rocket here.
The newest, 4.6x up scale while very much like the original and my previous two efforts, is quite different in size! See the comparisons in the photo here.
Thunderstruck 4 gave me the opportunity to fly the new Hydra Friday, 5 April. It is 8'-9" tall and weighed in right at 43 pounds on the pad, loaded with fuel.
I am still quite pleased with the way it turned out and especially the way it's maiden flight went on an Aerotech L2200. It was beautiful. Thanks to my friend from CIA Rocketry in Champaign Il for the flight picture.
