Mine was built as stock, used nomex blanket etc, had a nominal at apogee ejection, strap broke on the first flight and had tumble recovery...

Ouch! My HJ had 8 flights with the default kit nylon SC and showed a lot of burn marks. Fortunately it did not suffer the same fate as yours, and was changed-out for my first Chute Release test.

I favor Kevlar cord for a couple of reasons, improved burn resistance and smaller packing volume for a similar (or stronger) tensile strength rating. Win-win... :smile:

I certified L1 with the Rocket yesterday. It was on an AT H-35 in a good Kansas breeze. Our Prefect helped me out tremendously. Thanks Bob! And I was very grateful. It flew like was on a string. Thanks Mark for helping with my motor selection.
