Today I found an Atlas in my garden corn. At least the Atlas has grown sufficiently well; the corn is only about 6 feet high. The pollen on the tassels is just about all gone. I hope the ears will come in good. I don't think I saw as many honey bees on the tassels this year. This makes me wonder if the bee colony collapses are taking their toll. The Brussels Sprout plants are big, but the sprouts themselves look the poorest that I have ever seen them.

My aunt lives in Illinois, and she said the corn at her house is ten feet high. Maybe that wet winter paid off!
