Try my driveway, ~1/3 of a mile long with cornfields on both sides for about half that length. Talk about drifts! I gotta get me an old pickup with a plow for these times!!!:D

The city finally plowed my street last night and after a few hours
of shoveling the driveway I managed to clear a little. Enough for
me to take my car to work today. I have had to use my old 4WD
Jeep Wagoneer for the last two days just to get around
anywhere. While we don't get the 100 inches or more like some
do a storm of 12 inches or more is a little more uncommon here
in central Illinois. We only get them about every 10 years or so.

Once the snow stops please put some bird seed out and help
our little friends. It does not cost that much if you just put seed
out when the snow is on the ground. During the spring-summer
they hunt the insects as our good little friends.

You'll be happy to hear that since the kids were bouncing off the ceiling yesterday, I got out a birdfeeder kit I've been saving for a rainy (Snowy?) day. Got it done in the morning and once I was able to get to the store, got some feed for it. They should be very happy today! It make a nice addition to the suet feeder I already had in place.

One of the kids likes to watch the birds. :) ..the other likes to scare them :( . I'm sure the birds will be happy that no one will be at home to day so they cna just eat.
